However, all applications will be considered.We are searching for the best talent for Packaging Operator II to be in Jacksonville, FL.Completes routine tasks for the support function of the Manufacturing Product & Packaging Operations unit under direct supervision, and closely follows established standard operating procedures to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of deliverables.Follows technical manuals to troubleshoot and verify proper set-up and functionality of packaging equipment.Reports and documents unsafe equipment conditions to higher management.Restocks packaging materials into machines to maximize efficiency.Moves packaging material to different locations on the packaging line.Demonstrates Johnson & Johnson's Leadership Imperatives and Credo.Key Responsibilities:

  • Products produced at the facility periodically require re-cartoning and / or additional inspections. This position works under minimal direction.
  • Manually inspects cartons and/or lenses, as needed, to meet formal specification requirements to identify and isolate defects.
  • Performs many of the responsibilities vital to operate, adjust, and maintain the Packaging cartoners.
  • Responsible for performing accurate lot changes and documentation.
  • Adheres to all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and Environmental policies and procedures and supports Department objectives.QualificationsEducation:
    • A minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.Experience and Skills:Required:
      • 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
      • Ability to operate all Packaging EquipmentPreferred:
        • Tasks require visual acuity (reading fine print and inspecting lenses and cartons), light lifting (Up to 23 lbs.), attention to detail, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, crouching, walking, pulling, grasping, reaching, pushing, talking, other, and repetitive motions (hands and arms), completing paperwork and performing basic math for count reconciliation.Other:
          • Continuous operations schedule, Days 6am-6pm, Nights 6pm-6am, 2 days on 2 days off 3 days on 2 days off 3 days off 2 days on. This schedule includes working 2 weekends a month.
          • Excellent organizational and social skills are required.
          • Proficient with computers, email, Office 365.
